Guns, jewelry, lawnmowers and four wheelers are just some of the items stolen from Crawford County residents over the past few months. Police say they have made two arrests and hope the robberies will stop. Daniel Gipson and Robert Foster were arrested for possesion of the stolen items and deputies think they may have something to do with all the robberies. Rudy resident, Brian Roller, says eight guns and a four wheeler were stolen from his house. "Then we started locking our doors and chaining things up. I chained everything up around a tree, just keep them from stealing. There going to have to earn it to get it now." said Brian Roller. Seven of Rollers guns have been found and returned to him. The Sheriffs Office says the thieves look for houses with carports, since its easier to tell if anyones home. The thieves usually break in during the day while people are at work. Deputies did say they are trying to have extra patrol out during the day. Some tips to prevent you from being the next target: Lock your doors, if you have a carport park your neighbors car in the driveway to look like someone is home and do not leave any belongings out in your yard.
