There were several school elections in both Benton and Washington Counties Tuesday, and the preliminary results are in. In Benton County, Gentry voters approved a 3-mill increase. Pea Ridge is also getting an increase of 2.2 mills. In Washington County, Elkins, Lincoln, Springdale, Greenland, Farmington and Fayetteville voters approved millage increases for their cities. Prairie Grove voters denied the millage increase proposal for their school district. As for school board elections in Washington County, Becky Purcell beat out Mary Lynn Mantooth in the race for Fayetteville Zone 4 representative. Lincoln voters chose to keep incumbent Connie Meyer on the board. In Elkins, current board member Kristal Gano will also retain her seat.
