A Fort Smith man is facing a manslaughter charge after a weekend accident. Police say Matthew Sean Atwell, 21, ran a stop sign at North B and 21st Street, hitting and killing 60-year-old James Grisby, Jr., and injuring the passenger in his own vehicle. Officers say Atwell drove off after the accident, but turned himself in Sunday night. If convicted, he could spend up to 16 years in prison.
