For the past eight years, Bikes Blues and BBQ has donated 100-percent of the proceeds from things like vendor fees and beer sales to charities here in Northwest Arkansas. "Last year we gave to 32 charities about $160,000, and we only give to local charities in Washington, Benton and Madison County," says rally Chairman Ken Mourton. Rally organizers only have three employees on the payroll and they only keep what they need to fund next year's Bikes Blues and BBQ. "If we can't give something back to the community ourselves then we don't need to be here," Mourton says. Rally organizers aren't the only ones hoping to help out those in need... Cole-Pan Schroder is selling bike parts to raise money for Seven Hills Homeless Shelter. "New, used and abused, antique and obsolete. We try to cover all the bases," Schroder says. With hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts in town, Schroder says this is the perfect opportunity for him to help others. "As the Lord allows the more we get the more we can give, so we want to be a giver not a receiver."
