The programs is used to pay for a fishing trip for army soliders injured in Iraq and at a BBQ today they got to meet their heroes.
"Theyre awesome....yah! ...they saved a lot of lives for our country" said students.
Specialist, Brandon Miller says one little girl, raised one-hundred and fifty four pennies for the soldiers.
"I am very proud of that little girl. Very honored that she would save her money for us. Its pretty neat" said Brandon Miller.
Not only did soldiers attend the BBQ but, local heroes from the fire and police departments were also celebrated for their efforts.
The "Pennies for Wishes" is also being used to help rebuild a park in Greensburg, Kansas that was destroyed by a tornado.
