Rash Of Burglaries In Springdale

Springdale police say burglaries are on the rise. Several residential and commercial burglaries in the city prompted investigators to release a list of tips to help keep residents from falling victim to crimes of opportunity. The department says, "Good quality doors, locks, and neighbors who watch out for each other can be big deterrents to burglars. Proper lighting and a clean yard with shrubbery trimmed, so that it doesnt conceal doors or windows, is also recommended. The Springdale Police Department can provide additional information, including Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) evaluations for local residents and business owners."
