Highway Dedicated to An Officer Killed in the line of duty

Officer Daniel Martinez was killed last March in the line of duty.
Today the State of Oklahoma dedicated highway 270, near Wister..in memory of Martinez.
State Representatives and police honored Martinez and his family.
Martinezs father and daughters say they are overwhelmed with all the recognition Martinez has received.
"It makes me more proud of danny. I am already filled with it and it keeps on getting better and better. Hes in our hearts and i think everyone can see that." said Danny Martinez Sr.
Martinezs sisters say this holiday will be hard without their brother but, his memory will always be there.
"I think it makes it alot easier to know how loved he was and well miss him. Everybody will miss him. But, his memory will be kept alive with everything that everyone is doing for him." said Daniel Martinez sister, Jessica Martinez.
Oklahoma State Representatives say this is a special honor. Usually fallen officers dont get a highway dedicated to them after five years after their death and Martinez died less than a year ago.
