A supplier of metallic products to the aerospace industry plans to open a plant in west Arkansas - bringing with it nearly 60 jobs.

Kat Manufacturing Inc. said today it will invest 2.4 million dollars to retrofit an existing 68-thousand-square-foot facility in Paris.

The Logan County operation will provide computer numerical-control machining of aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, plastics, wood and additional materials used in the aerospace industry.

The company - a primary client of Dassault Falcon Jet in Little Rock - said it plans to begin production as soon as the plant is ready.

In addition to Dassault Falcon, other clients include Lockheed Martin and the Department of Defense.
