Van Buren Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect

Van Buren Police Department is looking for Earl Lee Yancey for allegedly stabbing his wife in the arm.  

 

Police say around 9:00pm on Tuesday evening they were called to 209 North 20th Street when Michelle Yancey's estranged husband showed up with a knife and threatened to kill her and two adolescence in the home.

 

Officials say Michelle Yancey's daughter called the police and that's when Earl Lee Yancey ran out the door.

 

Van Buren Police say Yancey had already fled the area in a blue Chevrolet Pickup before officers arrived on scene. Earl Yancey is wanted in connection with this incident and is armed with a knife.

 

If anyone has any information as to the location of Earl Yancey, please call 479-474-1234, Van Buren Police Department.

UPDATE : Around 3:00 pm Monday afternoon Van Buren Detective recieved a tip that Yancey was at a family members house in Fort Smith. Detectives went to the home and arrested Yancey without incendent. Earl Lee Yancey was transported to the Crawford County Detention Center.
