National Guard Troops in Clarksville Depart for Afghanistan

An emotional send-off for some National Guard Troops on Friday.

About 50 members of the Arkansas National Guard's 39th Brigade Special Troops Battalion departed from their home stations at Clarksville, and another 50 in Conway, on Friday, August 10, 2012, on their way to their mobilization station.

According to to the guard, the unit will continue their collective training stateside for several more weeks before deploying to Afghanistan to fulfill a 9-month mission there.
