Both President Obama and residents of Colorado are celebrating Wednesday, find out why on "The Pulse".
Colorado Legalizes Marijuana
It was a big night for Colorado voters, people cheered as a long awaited move to legalize recreational marijuana use was passed. Voters approving amendment 64, allowing adults over the age of 21 to possess 28 grams of pot and privately grow up to six marijuana plants. Four other states also had marijuana proposals on their ballots, including Oregon, where the move failed.
The Dow Drops
The White House is staying blue, but stocks were firmly in the red. A day after President Obama won re-election, the three major indices plunged on concerns over the looming fiscal cliff. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 313 points logging its worst daily decline since November 2011.
Hannity's Uh-Oh
The host of Fox news quickly realized his mistake Tuesday after he tweeted a photo of his completed election ballot, which is illegal in many states. Hannity later said he did not know it was illegal. He wasn't the only one tweeting pics of his ballot; so many people were doing it Tuesday that it became a trend, especially on sites like Instagram.
Diane Sawyer
People took notice of Diane Sawyer's coverage of the presidential election on ABC News, but not necessarily in the way the veteran journalist intended. Viewers say they saw Sawyer slurring words and say it looks like she had been drinking. Twitter blew up with Sawyer as a trending topic.
Obama Wins 2012
President Barack Obama won re-election over Republican challenger Mitt Romney, winning both the electoral vote and the popular vote. Romney conceded the presidential race early Wednesday morning. Not long after, President Obama spoke before a rally in Chicago. President Obama called for unity in his victory speech, saying "we are an American family and we rise or fall together as one nation."
