A place dedicated to preserving endangered animals is now the scene of a woman's death.

A 24-year-old intern was killed by a 350-pound lion at California's Project Survival Cat Haven.
Wildlife expert Jeff Corwin had handled the lion, named Cous Cous, in the past on the Ellen show.
"I think it's incredibly shocking when we see a tragedy like this unfold.  These are very, very powerful creatures.  And an animal like this, like Cous Cous, could have a really good disposition, may be a great animal as an advocate for a species, as an endangered creature from Africa.  But the truth is it is powerful and it is wild and they warrant a tremendous amount of respect," Corwin told CNN.
A sheriff's deputy shot and killed the animal.
Cat sanctuary officials say they'd raised Cous Cous from a cub and he never displayed aggressive behavior.

British newspapers are abuzz with speculation that Prince William's pregnant wife Catherine is expecting a girl.
This, after a member of the public reported hearing what seemed to be a hint that a daughter is on the way.
The Duchess of Cambridge was visiting a town in northeast England when the apparent slip of the tongue happened.
Sandra Cook says a woman next to her gave Catherine a teddy bear and she heard her say, "Thank you, I will take that for my d..." then stopped herself.
She then denied knowing the sex of the child.
The baby is due in July.

Taco Bell fans are upset after a delay in the launch of new tacos made with Cool Ranch Doritos shells.
The fast-food chain announced this week that it would release its highly-anticipated Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos Wednesday, but they didn't say it would only be at select restaurants.
Now, customers are upset that they can't get their taco fix at their local store.

Facebook is unveiling a redesign of its "news feed" at a press event today.
Changes to Facebook's layout always bring strong reactions from users of the social networking site.
The company sent an invitation to journalists saying, "Come see a new look for news feed."
There's plenty of speculation on tech blogs on what exactly the changes will be.
Facebook's news feed debuted in 2006 and has remained pretty much the same ever since.

President Obama met with a group of Republican senators for a private dinner Wednesday.
He dined with 12 GOP senators, including some of his harshest critics.
The venue of choice was the restaurant at the Jefferson Hotel, just blocks from the White House.
In case you were wondering, the White House says Obama personally picked up the tab.
Dinner was about $106 per head, not including drinks.
The dinner was just one in a series of meetings in the coming week between the president and congressional republicans.
