Todd Palin Goes Reality and Kristen Stewart is Rich

A different member of the Palin family is stepping into the reality spotlight. NBC announced that Todd Palin will be competing in its new reality series "Stars Earn Stripes." Palin will be competing in simulated military missions against other celebrities, including singer Nick Lachey and boxing champion Laila Ali. All money raised by the competition will be donated to Veterans' charities. "Stars Earn Stripes" is set to debut in August.
Bounty Regulations
Congress decided not to tackle an issue on the football field after striking a deal with the National Football League. Senator Dick Durbin and NFL commissioner Roger Doodell met in Washington to discuss bounties in professional sports. The meeting comes three months after Durbin wanted Congress to examine whether federal law should make any such bounty system illegal.
Holder Cited for Contempt
A House committee recommended Wednesday that Attorney General Eric Holder be cited for contempt of Congress. Holder is accused of failing to turn over documents relating to fast and furious, a botched federal sting targeting Mexican drug cartels. Committee chair Darrell Issa had demanded the Department of Justice turn over more documents. The vote took place after President Obama asserted executive privilege over some documents sought by the panel investigating the guns program.
Sandusky Trial
The defense rested Wednesday in the sexual abuse case of former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky without ever calling him to the stand. The defense called multiple character witnesses and even brought in an expert to testify Sandusky suffers from a personality disorder. Sandusky has pleaded not guilty to 51 charges related to abuse. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison. Closing arguments will happen Thursday morning.
Kristen Stewart is Rich
Forbes names "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart the top-earning starlet. The 22 year old was paid more than $34 million in the past 12 months. Stewart's sucking an estimated 12.5 million out of each installment of "Twilight" and also earned big bucks for her role in "Snow White and the Huntsman." Cameron Diaz ranked second on the Forbes list.
