According to Sergeant Craig Stout with the department, officers received a call about a possible drunk driver around 8:20 p.m.
Once they found the vehicle in question and tried to conduct a traffic stop at Mission and Kings Cross, police said the driver did not stop.
Stout said the pursuit lasted about two minutes, and never exceeded speeds of 45 miles per hour.
Police said the driver flipped the car, and crashed at Assembly Drive and Dogwood Lane in Fayetteville.
