Fort Smith Police say that early Monday morning Randall Kieser and Jennifer Miller walked into Wal-Mart on Zero street and tried to return items they had stole while in the store. Surveillance video showed the couple leaving in a red Mustang with Iowa tags.

Police say later in the day the mustang was spotted at another Wal-Mart location on North 62nd street and that detectives watched and waited for the couple to return to the car.

Fort Smith police say after a brief struggle and foot chase both Randall Kieser and Jennifer Miller were arrested and booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center.

Randall Kieser is being charged with theft by receiving, drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, fleeing, and fugitive from justice, as he was a wanted parole violator out of Missouri.

Jennifer Miller is being charged with theft by receiving, drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, battery on the officer and resisting arrest.
