Benton County Sheriff's Office Adding Tahoes to Fleet

By: Kyle Leyenberger
Updated: January 25, 2013
The Benton County Sherriff's Office is upgrading some of it's fleet.

The Quorum Court approved the purchase of ten new Tahoes at a Thursday night meeting.

The Sheriff requested the larger vehicles after taking a look at deputies' cramped Chargers.

The new vehicles offer more space for all the gear, and will be better able to handle the dirt roads that deputies patrol.

The SUV's are expected to cost $255,000.
