Bentonville School District Hires Demographer

"We entered into an agreement with a compnay called Jack Shroeder and Associates, they're out of California, have a sterling reputation and we're excited to engage them as one of our consultants," says Mike Poore, superintendent of Bentonville schools.
Bentonville schools adding an extra tool to help tally enrollment projections.
"We really want to have a more scientific means of what our projected growth will be," Poore says.
"That's the No. 1 thing that we seek to have come from this study."
Poore says the demographer will examine patterns in the district such as the number of incoming kindergarten students, as well as where new housing is expected to go up.
"It's also going to help us show the community the needs within this school district are not going to end in this election, we're going to probably have some other needs before this decade is out," Poore says.
He says the district is asking the demographer to turn in two reports.
One with a March deadline, and the other with a May deadline to finalize that millage package for the voters in Bentonville.
