Updated: March 22, 2013

New information in the case against a former Fayetteville developer facing federal charges. Former U.S. Representative and NRA consultant Asa Hutchinson's law firm will be representing Brandon Barber in his federal indictment case. Asa's son, Asa III, confirmed it for KNWA Friday. Barber is the former developer arrested in New York this week as part of an FBI investigation. According to the federal indictment, Barber's scams involve banks across the state, including secured bank loans worth a total of more than $200 million dollars. Barber, along with four others, is accused of hiding Barber's assets from the court after he filed for bankruptcy in 2009.
