Dallas Columnist: Cowboys Made Right Hog RB Choice

Felix Jones or Darren McFadden?
That was the debate leading into the NFL Draft in 2008: which Hog running back was the better fit for the NFL.
The Dallas Morning News has made up its mind. Writer Tim MacMahon believes that the Cowboys selection of Jones was the correct one, and it has nothing to do with the difference in talent between the two.
MacMahon writes: "The Cowboys would have had to part with their other first-round pick (Mike Jenkins) and then some to move up to the top four to get McFadden. Simple math says the Cowboys are better off with two impact players than one."
While a possible long career ahead of both backs, it's safe to say most NFL teams would love to have either of the two on their roster.
But it's hard to argue with MacMahon's logic that Jones was the better value move.... at least for Dallas.
Side note: Felix and Darren will face off in an NFL preseason game Thursday night on FOX24 in Northwest Arkansas, and KARK4 in Central Arkansas.
