UA SPORTS INFORMATION FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas junior cornerback Isaac Madison will miss the 2009 season after suffering an ACL tear in his left knee during last Saturday’s scrimmage. Madison has undergone an MRI and surgery will be scheduled in the coming weeks. “It is unfortunate since Isaac had been working extremely hard during the offseason,” said UA head coach Bobby Petrino. “Isaac played really well in the spring and had a good summer for us. He was developing into a leader.” Madison has played in 22 career games with 11 starts that all came during the 2008 season. He has recorded 36 tackles in his career. He has one career interception, which he returned 43 yards in the 2008 victory over No. 19 Tulsa. Madison was listed as one of UA’s starting cornerbacks on the UA post-spring depth chart. During the 2009 Red-White Spring Game, he had four tackles, three unassisted and one assisted.
