From a former President sarenading hospital staff to a 50's sex symbol and the FBI. Here's Friday's edition of "The Pulse".

George H. W. Bush
Former President George H. W. Bush is said to be in good spirits as he recovers from a fever and bout with bronchitis in the intensive care unit of a Houston hospital. A Bush family spokesman says the 41st President has been singing with doctors and nurses. On Thursday, the Bush family said they were confident the former president would soon be released from the ICU.  At 88 years old, Mister Bush is the oldest living former President.

General Schwarzkopf
With a memorable military career, U.S. General Norman Schwarzkopf has passed away. General Herbet Norman Schwarzkopf was a much-decorated combat soldier in Vietnam and was popularly known to the public as "Stormin' Norman". He commanded the U.S.-led international coalition that drove Saddam Hussein's forces out of Kuwait in 1991. He was 78 years old

Marilyn Monroe
The FBI may have more evidence to believe mega-star Marilyn Monroe might have been a communist. The agency, releasing more of its files on the actress, who died in 1962 in an apparent suicide. The documents indicate Monroe strongly supported civil rights in the 1950's, and expressed admiration for the Chinese communists. The files don't address the lingering questions about how Monroe died 50 years ago at the age of thirty-six.

Phil Jackson
Phil Jackson trending as reports surface suggesting he may return as a coach in the NBA. The New Jersey Nets recently fired head coach Avery Johnson and now Phil Jackson is the top target of the Nets' coaching search, according to a report by ESPN's Marc Stein and Chris Broussard. An ESPN source says Jackson would listen because his interest in coaching was rekindled when the Lakers approached him after firing Mike Brown in November.

Fiscal Cliff
The fiscal cliff draws nearer. With the nation on the verge of the largest tax increase since World War Two,  President Obama called congressional leaders to the White House for one last desperate shot at a deal . The President  said he was only modestly optimistic that a deal could be reached by the deadline, a sign that there's a very real possibility we're going off the fiscal cliff.
