A Rumored Threat at Greenwood Schools

Chief William Dawson says that a conversation about school shootings between two students escaladed into a rumored shooting threat, and although there was never any danger present, Greenwood Police Department still took safety precautions.
'Today it was just a presence to show that we are here and the school is secure, and you can send your kids to school', says Chief Dawson.
Joking around about school shootings is 'not a laughing matter', and that joking statements and rumors are taken very seriously. 'There's always a possibility that it could happen....' says
The two high school students are not facing charges at this time.
