Springale Police arrested a Fayetteville man for rape after they say he chatted with an underage girl on facebook, went to her home and forced himself on her.

On Wednesday, February 26, Springdale Police took a report of a rape at a home on Mark Street.
The mother of a 13-year-old girl had returned home to find the girl on the couch with a pair of men's shoes on the floor.
The mother told police she found 20-year-old Jose Vazquez-Ruiz hiding in the bathroom and he immediately fled in a truck.
Police learned the teenage girl had been communicating with Vazquez-Ruiz on facebook and invited him over to talk while her mother was gone.
Police say Vazquez-Ruiz went to the home and forced himself on the girl as she tried to push him away.
Investigators found Vazquez-Ruiz at his home Thursday along with the pickup truck that was seen leaving the home on Mark Street.
After an interview with police, Vazquez-Ruiz was charged with Rape and taken to the Washington County Detention Center where he remains on $50,000 bond.
Springdale Police emphasize the importance of parents monitoring their children's internet activity and educating them on the dangers that exist.
