Officer Pippin responded to a 911 call where an elderly gentleman was unresponsive and not breathing. Pippin quickly started CPR on Roy Phillips until he started breathing again. Sebastian County EMS arrived and transported Mr. Phillips to St.Edwards Hospital. When Mr. Phillips arrived at the hospital he was coherent and talking.

In a statement released from Sebastian County Sheriffs Office, Sheriff Hollenbeck stated,
'If not for the immediate response and action of Officer Pippin the outcome for Mr. Phillips might have been quite different. Mr. Phillips might have died or had permanent brain damage.'
