This is Saturday's edition of -- The Pulse.

Number five -- An NFL player is hospitalized after a hot air balloon carrying him and two other people crashed. Free agent Donte Stallworth is said to have serious burns, but his agent said the ten-year NFL veteran will not suffer permanent damage from the incident. Police said the basket carrying the three passengers crashed into power lines mid-air in Florida.

Number four -- Boeing said it has made changes to the battery system on its Dreamliner 787 aircraft, which means the planes should resume passenger flights. Battery fires prompted the grounding of Dreamliners worldwide, so changes include a new fire-proof stainless steel enclosure around batteries. The FAA must approve the changes before Dreamliners can carry passengers again.

Number three -- Rapper Lil Wayne is reportedly still in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering multiple seizures earlier this week. TMZ reported the 30-year-old was released Wednesday, but readmitted a few hours later after his bodyguard found him unconscious on the floor. The site reported he was in a medically induced coma, but other reports said he is doing fine.

Number two -- A verdict could come Sunday in a case of teenage drinking, cell phone cameras, and alleged rape. The two teens accused of raping an allegedly drunk 16-year-old are high school football stars in Steubenville, Ohio. On Friday, after being granted immunity from prosecution, three witnesses testified against the accused teens.

Number one -- An investigation is underway today into a deadly Florida plane crash. Firefighters raced to the scene Friday afternoon, dousing the smoking wreckage with water. The crash killed all three people on board and also destroyed towed vehicles in a parking lot. No one on the ground was injured and authorities said the twin-engine aircraft crashed shortly after take-off.
