Brightest Classroom November 9th

Chief Meteorologist Dan Skoff and John Millis, from GE Lighting, awarded Mr. Josh Worthy's 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade EAST students with a $500 Walmart gift card as one of November's Brightest Classrooms. Mr. Worthy's EAST (Environmental and Spatial Technology) students at Sonora Elementary will be using the gift card to purchase items for a new greenhouse at their school. Items to be purchased will the things such as an irrigation system, growing materials, CFL heat lamps for the winter, and other organic supplies. Students would be in charge of all the operations for the green house, and Mr. Worthy knows that his students will learn real world skills through this project.
