Polar Plunge Helps Special Olympics Athletes

Folks were freezing their tails off Saturday for the 15th annual polar plunge.
Over 400 plungers showed up at beaver lake to take a dip for a good cause.

All the money funds the athletic training and competition for Special Olympics athletes.
"We have a son who is also a Special Olympic athlete so we see the joy that he receives from being able to train and compete and the pride that they all have from being able to compete," says Donna Kilmer, with Special Olympics Arkansas.
Last year's event raised around $53,000 dollars, but with more participants this year the organization is hoping to raise even more money.
