A lot of job opportunities popping up in our area thanks to the dirt diamond.
More than 300 people came out to Arvest Ballpark in Springdale as the Northwest Arkansas Naturals kicked off the season by hosting an annual job fair.
Usher positions, parking attendants, as well as ticket scanners and kitchen staff were among the jobs up for grabs today.
Organizers say the job fair is essential and the people they hire more than just employees.
"There's 20 of us full-time that work all year round on making sure that Arvest Ballpark is the best place it can be. But ultimately to make that happen and deliver that to our fans, we need all these folks who work on the game days to be the face of the Naturals. these are the folks that are going to interact the most with our fans day in and day out," says Eric Edelstein, General Manager of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
Organizers hope to hire nearly seventy people from today's job fair. The Naturals will open their 2013 season on Thursday, April 4th.
