Business women in our area are helping cultivate local leaders of tomorrow, through the seventh annual Girls Of Promise Event Saturday at NWACC.
This gave eighth grade girls from all over n-w-a the opportunity to meet with successful women in our area who have made an impact in science, engineering, technological and economic fields.
"By having an event like this, it teaches the girls that they can be successful in those things and to seek out those classes and it gives them different career options," Kim Tisdale, Chair of Steering Committee at Women's Foundation.
This event was sponsored by the Women's Foundation of Arkansas.
