Multiple Arrests in Fayetteville Mailbox Bomb Crimes

Fayetteville Police announced the arrest of 5 minors in connection with multiple incidents in which homemade explosives were used to destroy mailboxes.
Police say they investigated four separate incidents Monday where mailboxes had been destroyed using the homemade explosive.
Two occurred at homes on N. Hartford Drive and two others on North Eastwood Drive.
On Tuesday, Police arrested two 15-year-old boys and three 16-year-old boys in connection with the crimes.
Each of the teens faces one count of committing a criminal act involving explosives, which is a felony. Four of them also received felony criminal mischief charges and the fifth teen received a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge.
No injuries were reported in either of the incidents.
