Updated: February 23, 2013

Djordje Stojanovic double-double on Saturday led the UAFS Lions to their first ever road win over Newman Saturday, 88-78, and at least a share of this seasons conference championship. The Lions in only their second season as a member of the division II Heartland conference also won the right to host the men's conference tournament March 8th and 9th at the Stubblefield Center in Fort Smith.

Guard Jake Toupal paced the Lions scoring with 18 points, Stojanovic added 16 along with 12 rebounds.

UAFS (15-9, 10-3) will finish the regular season Thursday night at St. Edwards, a win would clinch sole possession of the conference championship.
