Police said a man hit two pedestrians and left the scene, even though one of the victims crashed through his windshield and landed inside his car.
It happened Friday night at the intersection of Dickson Street and University Avenue in Fayetteville.
Officers said 26-year-old Charles Jones eventually pushed the girl that crashed through his windshield out of his car, and kept driving.
Jones was initially pulled over for not using his headlights, but investigators quickly saw the busted windshield and made the connection.
Jones is now facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, False Imprisonment, and Third Degree Battery.
Police said both victims sustained had non-life threatening injuries.
