MAP: How Many Teacher Jobs Could AR Lose?

By: Lisa Mendenhall
Updated: February 26, 2013

One of the many ways the sequestration could affect Arkansas: education cuts.

And teachers are on the chopping block.

Take a look at this map we found on the Huffington Post.

It color codes each state based on the number of teachers those states could lose if U.S. lawmakers can't reach a compromise by the Friday deadline.

This info is from the White House.

The map shows Arkansas could lose an estimated 75 to 99 teachers.

That may not sound like much, but it could directly affect your child depending on which districts see the cuts.
