The search is on this morning for the woman police say pushed a man to his death on a New York train platform Thursday night. 
That just one of the Top Trenders you'll want to know about this morning.

There's new surveillance video out this morning of the woman police think committed the crime.
Witnesses say she was pacing on the train platform in Queens, talking to herself before she sat down. 
A short time later, when the train pulled into the station, she apparently got up and pushed the man onto the tracks, and ran away.
No word yet on the victim's name, or the motive behind the crime.

The world is mourning the loss of retired U.S. General Norman Schwarzkopf this morning.
He died in Florida Thursday.
Schwarzkopf commanded the U.S. led international coalition that drove Saddam Hussein's forces out of Kuwait during the first Gulf War in 1991.
His infamous temper earned him the name  "Stormin' Norman."
He served his last military assignment as Commander in Chief of U.S. Central Command.
Schwarzkopf was 78 years old.

A dramatic rescue for a man and a dog pulled from the ice, just in time.
It happened in Michigan Thursday just after the man tried to rescue the dog, that had escaped and fell into the icy water.
When he tried to pull the dog out, the ice broke beneath him.
His wife called 911 and first responders rushed to the rescue.
Both man and dog are doing just fine this morning.

You know him as Dr. McDreamy, and actor Patrick Dempsey is coming to the rescue, but this time it's for a different cause.
The Grey's Anatomy star is now leading a group effort to keep Tully's Coffee alive, by buying the chain.
The java chain filed for bankruptcy protection back in October. 

CNN host Piers Morgan saying he believes the Bible and the U.S. Constitution are flawed, especially when it comes to gay rights.
Morgan made the comments during an interview with evangelical pastor and author Rick Warren.
Warren disagreed.

The countdown to New Year's Eve is on with three days left and preparations are underway for the famous New Year's Eve ball drop at New York's Times Square. 
Workers installed 288 Waterford crystal triangles on the ceremonial ball Thursday.
The widow of Dick Clark, the longtime host for the New Year's Eve festivities, helped install a panel with her late husband's name engraved on it. 
More than a billion people across the world are expected to watch the ball drop on TV this year.
