Miss Arkansas Visits Middle School

6th and 7th graders girls at Sonora Middle School in Springdale had a special visitor today, Miss Arkansas,  Sloane Roberts.

Roberts talked to the students about the importance of staying in school and eating healthy.

Also telling the girls about her Miss America platform against child abduction.

She recently competed in  the Miss America Pageant where she received the Miss Congeniality award and now she is back here serving her community.

"I've always had the heart of a servant and that's what this year is all about, is just teaching these kids valuable lessons that they can hopefully just remember and use for the rest of their life," Roberts said. 

Roberts is a senior at the University of Arkansas majoring in Communications.
