The Arkansas Department of Health has a warning for senior citizens: the flu is much more dangerous for you.

According to the ADH. people 65 and older account for 90 percent of flu-related deaths every year, but staying healthy is simple.

The ADH strongly suggests you get a flu shot if you haven't already. It's not too late!

It also suggests washing your hands to keep the flu at bay. Yes, it really is that important!!

And finally, if you are a senior and you do get sick, get to the hospital as quickly as possible.

Once you have the flu, you need to treat it quickly.
