The American Red Cross "Flirting With Disaster" fundraiser took place Wednesday at Club Z330 in Fayetteville.

4 local bands, local artists and vendors got together to raise money for hurricane relief efforts.

According to Red Cross officials over 1,000 workers and volunteers with the organization are still helping on the East Coast.

Jeff Patrick of Red Cross said, "All of the money will go to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. That's going to help provide food and a place for them to stay, Then, further recovery planning as we get into the final stages of operations."

Organizers hoped to raise between $5,000 to $10,000 during the fundraiser.

No word if they reached their goal yet.
