Idol Edge: Judges Sound Off on Vegas Week

A new twist for the top 40 in Vegas week this season, as 10 guys and 10 girls sing first with five eliminated each night.
"I don't really like that process because these are the best of the best and right now they are all top in my head," explains judge Nicki Minaj.
"I can't imagine how tough it's going to be to have to eliminate five super talented contestants," says judge Mariah Carey.
"They've made it this far to the top ten," says judge Keith Urban. "They're already exceptional so they know we're letting five exceptional people go.
As these sudden death rounds continue to narrow the field standing out is tough.
"You can have a great voice and mimic somebody but there's no heart in that," explains Keith Urban. "I'm just waiting to see and hear that thing that makes them unique.
