Dr. Becky Paneitz came to our area 10 years ago to serve as President of Northwest Arkansas Community College. And after a decade at the school, she says she 's ready to retire - and is looking at what's next, "At the end of the day what I want to help people do is to is to find their purpose in life if they don't already know it to live out that purpose and then to give back to others." As a 'former' college president - her leadership role will be different--- in many ways allowing her more freedom - as she starts her own consulting business.Paneitz says, "Now I'm going to have a chance to be real and talk about what's worked and maybe what didn't work. What are the lessons that I've learned and what can you take away from that." Paneitz says she has an affinity for leadership, and women, and now she will merge the two. "I'm at the point now where im getting ready to form my consulting company and focus on leadership development working with women and reaching out to other women who can help me with that." And she has plans to work with other college leaders across the country with fundraising, after all she did help bring the "College with No Walls" to a brick and mortar reality. For Dr. Paneitz t seems 'retirement' simply means closing one door to help open doors for others.
