New sanctions on North Korea, and it's national cereal day. Here is Thursday's edition of "The Pulse".

Nat'l Cereal Day
Thursday is national cereal day. Your fun fact, the average American eats ten pounds of cereal each year. A sculptor even built a sculpture to commemorate the classic breakfast,  a map of the US made entirely of cereal.

Subaru Recalls
Subaru of America, recalling more than 47,000 cars and SUV's. The vehicles have remote starters, and their engines can start on their own. According to the automaker, if the key fob is dropped, it can malfunction and start the engine.

Bin Laden's Son-in-Law
Osama Bin Laden's son-in-law has been captured and is in the United States. According to law enforcement officials, he's  expected to appear in court tomorrow to face federal charges. Officials say he's the main spokesperson for Al-qaida since Osama's death.

North Korea
The UN Security Council, unanimously passing tougher sanctions against North Korea Thursday, targeting the nation's nuclear program. A spokesman for the North Korea Foreign Ministry suggests the country could exercise their right to a preemptive nuclear attack to defend the interests of the country.

Rand Paul
Senator Rand Paul, staging a one man filibuster to delay the confirmation of John Brennan to head the CIA. The issue on hand, the Obama administration's policy on using drones overseas. Paul stayed on his feet for 13 hours to hold the floor.
