One family's story we've been covering for weeks finally gets its happy ending.  The Russian Supreme Court has granted the Skaggs family permission to bring their adoptive daughter home.

Kendra Skaggs told us Tuesday that the court has ruled to complete any U.S. adoptions from before January 1, 2013, including Polina's.

We first told you about this family in December, when Jason and Kendra were less than 30 days away from bringing 5-year-old Polina Joy Skaggs, home from Russia.  But a bill signed by Vladamir Putin just before the new year blocked all Russian adoptions to the U.S. and the Skaggs were told they would not be allowed to proceed with their plans.

A crushing blow for a family who had already made accommodations for their new daughter.

They even purchased a new van to help cater to Polina's needs as she lives with Spina Bifida, a physical disability.

But then, with this latest update - a final ruling on her adoption means the homecoming date is set at last.

Kendra said they will arrive home with their daughter on February 2

Keep up with the family's blog.
