Students from all fourteen chapters of the Interfraternity Council woke up early to participate in MLK festivities.
Council member Samuel McLelland says the Greek community often deals with stereotypes, and made today's gesture to support King's efforts to break stereotypes and gain equal treatment for all.
"We're not all about the typical animal house, the typical partying scene," McLelland says. "We are here for good and to build ethical leaders... on this campus."
This is the first year all fourteen fraternities showed up, but the council plans to continue the tradition in the future.
