Springdale, Rogers Police Investigating String of Burglaries

By: KNWA News
Updated: February 5, 2013
Springdale Police are asking the public for help solving a string of burglaries.

They say they've taken several reports of burglaries at local restaurants and businesses in recent weeks in which the perpetrators use a baseball bat or other objects to break out windows, gain entry to the buildings and steal various items.

Police have provided surveillance photographs from Pay Day Pawn Shop on Virginia Street, Shipley's Donuts on Sunset and Taqueria Mexico on S. Thompson.

They have also taken video from a similar burglary at a Popeye's Chicken in Rogers where the individuals used a baseball bat to break into the drive-through window and steal chicken products.

The pictures taken at Taqueria Mexico show a GMC Envoy similar to the one used to pick up the suspects in the Rogers Popeye's burglary.

Police would like anyone with information on these burglaries to call the Springdale Police Criminal Investigation Division at (479) 750-8139 or the Springdale Tip Line at (479) 750-4484.
