Law enforcement says a tip from a school led them to continue the search for a fetus in the backyard of a home in West Siloam Springs.
"We just had information that there was possibly a baby that had been buried out here, and we have not been able to find anything to back that up whatsoever," says Larry Barnett, Police Chief of the West Siloam Springs Police Department.
Detectives and dogs unable to confirm reports of a buried fetus after three days of digging.
"We wanted to run the dogs since we've done some digging, to see if it's possibly in the same spot, maybe deeper," Barnett says.
The West Siloam Springs Police Department, along with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation and the DA's office have been following up on leads all week, and unless other tips prompt another search -- the digging seems to be done for now.
"We've got some more interviews, and different hospitals, just checking every lead we've got, we're not going to quit until we run out," Barnett says.
The woman who lived in this home on Serenity Drive, 32-year old Stacy Belt, remains in the Delaware County Jail facing three counts of child neglect, as three children are in protective custody, according to investigators.
"We had heard about T-shirts and babies and none of that has been located as far as a baby goes," Barnett adds.
"No fetus, no nothing."
