Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-22), the Republican House Caucus Leader, is a state representative from Hot Springs, and when the next legislative session kicks off in January, if House Republicans capture the majority, he will become the first Republican Majority Leader in Arkansas history.

I recently sat down with Westerman to discuss the historical night Arkansas Republicans hope -- and expect -- to have on November 6. In this interview, he talks about his party's plan to lead responsibly, the historical aspects of gaining the majority for the first time and becoming the state's first Republican Majority Leader, and the working relationship he expects to have with Governor Mike Beebe (D) going into 2013.
