Arkansas' Voting History: Through the Years

Republican Mitt Romney and election forecasters are already counting Arkansas in the Republican presidential win column.
   
But the Natural State hasn't always been red.

Historically Arkansans do tend to vote republican, but there have been a few democratic candidates that we liked.  Over the last 10 presidential elections, we've gone red every time but three.

In 1976, Arkansas voted to elect Democrat Jimmy Carter.  And of course, we love our own native son.  In 1992 and 1996, those in the Natural State supported former Governor Bill Clinton.
