The Rockefeller Christmas tree has been chosen, and we'll see one of the nicest car thieves ever. Here is Tuesday's edition of "Over the Edge".
Turn around, there's a total eclipse Tuesday Night. Here's a view from Cairns, Australia. The moon starts out at half-view and eventually disappears behind the moon. It's a solar eclipse, which occurs when the moon lines up with the sun in the sky, blocking out the solar disk from view. Most of its path will be over the South Pacific.
A delivery driver says he thought it was a prank... When his car, full of chinese food, was stolen. And even more strange, somehow, the orders made it to the customers. The driver parked his car to make a delivery and says when he returned his car was gone. Police say the car thief delivered the rest of the food on the route to keep the money. Cops were easily able to track down the theif at the next delivery destination.
The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner. And it wouldn't be christmas in the northeast without the rockefeller center tree. Crews used a chainsaw to carefully cut the 80-foot tall norway spruce -- then used a crane to place it onto a massive trailer. The flatbed truck will bring it to rockefeller center tomorrow.
