"It's like in the hands of America now and hoping everyone likes you.  Our part now is just to do what we do and hope that everyone loves it," said Idol contestant Burnell Taylor after Wednesday night's performance.

"I would change my performance. I wish I had the energy she (Zoanette) had on stage. Now it's not so much as looking at the judges for their approval because it's not their choice. You want to look into the camera and really connect with America because they are the ones who are deciding your fate," contestant Candice Glover said.

The fate of these Idol contestants is in the hands of America.

There are only twenty contestants left, and these singers need to do everything they can to stand out.

The girls say they have to work on both their performance and their vocals.

And the boys say it's not enough to just impress the judges, they need to make a connection with the audience at home as well.

Tonight at 7 p.m. on Fox, we find out who the viewers connected with and voted for.

Tim & Jeff in the Morning from Power 105.7 have a few favorite contestants.

We talked with them about their picks, and Arkansas-native Charlie Askew's meltdown on the Vegas stage.
