"We got after it this weekend," Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn said.  "We knew after last weekend we needed to string together some wins and we did it."

With no shortage of late inning drama, the Diamond Hogs rediscovered their mojo and swept a four game series with San Diego State.

"We didn't give up," junior catcher Jake Wise said.  "We kept fighting.  I think it shows the toughness of the team to come back from losing four straight but we're able to pull through, end up getting four straight.  So we just want to continue to roll."

"That really helps us get over last weekend because that hurt," Van Horn added.

The lineup's still a work in progress but the Razorback arms totally dominated the Aztecs allowing just 1.5 runs per game.

"Obviously the pitchers have been leading the way lately," junior center fielder Jacob Morris explained.  "We've struggled as an offense but we don't stop working and we know that we're fully capable of being a very good offense."

On a staff full of veterans, true freshman Trey Killian's stealing the spotlight.  The Mountain Home native's allowed just seven baserunners in 21 innings of work.

"I call him the strike throwing machine," Van Horn said.

"Really impressed," Wise exclaimed.  "He showed it in the Fall but he's taken it to another level."

"I didn't really know what to expect," Killian described.  "I'd never seen division one hitters.  I knew I had good stuff.  I just try to come in, do the best I can and try to be successful."

Killian's performance helped Coach Van Horn reach a career milestone - 1000 victories.

"It's great," Van Horn said.  "It's like I told the players.  If you're going to win a thousand games, it means you got a lot of good coaches and a lot of great players.  It also means I'm getting old.  That's exactly what that means when you win a thousand.  It's been fun."
